MyLUAS Privacy Policy
Effective 24 October 2026. This covers the MyLUAS app for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac.
MyLUAS is made by Supratude Ltd, a small app studio in Dublin, Ireland. There's no account to sign up for, no advertising, and nothing in the app tracks you across other apps or websites. This page explains the little data the app does handle and where it goes.
Your trips and saved stops
The trips and stops you save are stored on your device. If you're signed in to iCloud, they also sync through your own iCloud account so they appear on your other devices. That's Apple's iCloud key-value storage: Supratude can't see or access what's stored there. Deleting the app removes the copy on that device. To remove the iCloud copy, delete your trips in the app before deleting it.
Your location
If you allow it, MyLUAS uses your location to show the stop nearest to you and, on Apple Watch, to open on the trip that starts nearest. This happens entirely on your device. Your location is never sent to Supratude or anyone else, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings.
Tram times
To show tram times, the app asks the public LUAS forecast service for the departures at a stop, using that stop's code. Like any request on the internet, that service sees your device's IP address. It doesn't receive anything else about you, such as your trips or your location.
Usage statistics
MyLUAS uses TelemetryDeck to count how the app is used, so we know which features are worth improving. It sends anonymous signals such as "the app was opened", "a trip was saved" (with whether it heads into or out of town), "a stop was viewed", "a Live Activity was started" and "tram times failed to load". Each signal includes the app version, the operating system version, the device type and the language setting.
These signals aren't linked to your name, email address, Apple ID or location. TelemetryDeck identifies a device only by a scrambled identifier that can't be traced back to you, and it doesn't store IP addresses. The data is never sold or used for advertising.
Crash reports
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. You can change this in Settings under Privacy & Security, Analytics & Improvements.
Children
MyLUAS is suitable for everyone and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you, and ask us to delete it. Because the usage statistics are anonymous, we usually can't tell which signals came from you, but we'll help however we can. You can also complain to Ireland's Data Protection Commission.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For any questions, use the contact form and choose MyLUAS.
